I Remember You

William Eric Boren
December 2, 1956 - November 14, 2011

Today is the one year anniversary of the passing of our wonderful brother, son, father and friend.
Today I received a beautiful compilation of his favorite music from Erika. Billy loved to sing and as Erika said, "He had a love for music and always had a song in his heart.  He taught me to always have music in my life  and a song in my heart, for this I am so grateful!"
As I listen to the songs, I feel the loneliness he must have felt and I am grateful he is home with his Heavenly Father - strong, and happy.
I'm grateful for his example.
I love you Billy - and miss you so much.

Skyfall

November 6, 2012 was much more than a monumental disappointment.  I'm sad and must say, I felt as if the sky was falling.  Now after a few days,  I honor Willard Mitt Romney - a patriot, a gentleman, a family man, a business man, a man of God.  We could have been so lucky to have him lead our country.
May he and his family have peace.  Thank you Romneys - it was a long, well-fought battle.

The Brits always say it so well:
(Quoted in the James Bond movie, Skyfall)

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven;
 that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.
Alfred Lord Tennyson "Ulysses"

FREEDOM

Freedom of Worship

Freedom of Speech

Freedom from Fear

Freedom from Want

Norman Rockwell's moving paintings of FDR's Four Freedoms seem especially appropriate as our country votes on Tuesday.  My fast and prayers today have been for  Mitt Romney -  a man of faith, integrity, dignity and respect. His knowledge and skills can bring our country back to greatness and will preserve these freedoms for our children.

God Bless America

Annie, Jessica and I voted Thursday. David came home to vote yesterday. I'm grateful for the privilege and blessing of living in this wonderful country.

I'm hoping and praying that our man Mitt can win Tuesday. Our country needs his leadership and experience - I know he will safeguard freedom and restore our economy. I want my children and grandchildren to have the same opportunities I have enjoyed in this great land.

God Bless America - land that I love!!!
